Class 2 Driver

Position Details

• Function: Distribution
• Contract: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours: 43 hours per week, working 4 days on, 2 days off (starting at 04:00)
• Salary: £18.26 per hour

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence with Class C entitlement
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Full CPC qualification

Role Overview and Benefits

• Thorough 3–4 week induction with ongoing support from our dedicated in-house driver training team.
• Early starts around 03:30, with some variation in shift patterns, enabling you to enjoy free afternoons for your personal time.
• Work independently, receiving delivery notes or using an electronic device to accurately pick orders and load your vehicle with bakery products.
• Maintain a basic awareness of vehicle upkeep by reporting faults via defect forms, alongside a sound understanding of transport legislation—including Driver Hours regulations, the Working Time Directive, and the Highway Code—to ensure safety and compliance throughout your working day.
• Your daily route will be programmed into your onboard computer, facilitating efficient and punctual deliveries.
• Deliver to multiple customers daily, fostering positive relationships and consistently providing excellent service that reflects our company values. Handle challenging conversations calmly and professionally when required, acting as an ambassador of our inclusive culture.
• Work a 4 on, 2 off rota, averaging 43 hours per week, with occasional variations, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Rate of Pay

£18.26 per Hour
